Chaos erupted outside the Genesis Radio studio yesterday when station manager Brice Mull found himself at the center of an unexpected frenzy—mobbed by a group of enthusiastic female fans. Witnesses say the scene unfolded just after Brice stepped outside for some fresh air, only to be immediately surrounded by a crowd of admirers eager for photos, autographs, and, in some cases, hugs that bordered on aggressive enthusiasm.
According to sources, the groupies—who had been waiting outside the station for an undisclosed amount of time—erupted into cheers as soon as Brice appeared. “It was like a rockstar moment,” said one staff member who observed the incident from inside. “One second, he was just standing there. The next second, it was full Beatlemania.”
Brice, known for his confidence behind the mic, appeared momentarily caught off guard before attempting to navigate his way back into the building. However, the determined fans had other plans. “They had him cornered. One of them was yelling, ‘Brice, we love you!’ Another was demanding a selfie. It was like watching a National Geographic special on lionesses hunting their prey,” joked an anonymous staff member.
Security (which, at Genesis Radio, consists mostly of Doc standing in doorways with his arms crossed) eventually intervened, allowing Brice to make his escape—albeit slightly flustered and with a few lipstick smudges on his cheek.
“I mean, it’s nice to be appreciated,” Brice later commented, still trying to adjust his slightly disheveled shirt. “But wow. I was not expecting to be the heartthrob of the day.”
The incident has since become a running joke within the station, with DJs already planning an on-air segment titled “Brice Mull: The People’s Heartthrob?” Meanwhile, Genesis Radio listeners have taken to social media, with one post reading, “Brice’s fan club is officially stronger than any boy band from the ‘90s.”
Despite the unexpected swarm, Brice remains committed to his duties as station manager. However, sources say he may start using the studio’s back entrance until further notice.
